The 2025 edition has rightfully entered the festival’s history. An extraordinary, intense, and engaging journey, featuring top-level artists such as The Yardbirds, Atomic Rooster, FM, Dr. Feelgood, and Lou Marini of the Blues Brothers, names that have further enriched an already legendary lineup! For the 2026 edition, the 24th, the chosen slogan is BACK TO THE ROOTS! A return to the origins, highlighting how blues has become, over time, an authentic and unmistakable hallmark of Vallemaggia. The Vallemaggia summer promises to be scorching, with a program that blends past and present, legends and new discoveries, without missing some major highlights! The spirit of Woodstock ’69 returns with the MILLER ANDERSON BAND, the legendary Scottish blues-rock guitarist and singer who performed with the Keef Hartley Band at Woodstock in 1969. For the first MAGIC ROCK NIGHTS, it’s a last call for a legend, possibly the final chance to see them in Ticino: COLOSSEUM, with founding members Farlowe, Clempson, and Clarke, pioneers of a visionary sound blending rock, jazz, and blues, alongside the rock’n’roll holy trinity BASEMENT SAINTS. In Avegno, the unrepeatable magic of PAUL JONES & JOHN ETHERIDGE: the voice of Manfred Mann and the guitar of Soft Machine together for the first time at Vallemaggia Magic Blues, delivering blues, soul, improvisation, and pure musical alchemy. After 13 years, the incendiary slide guitar of ERIC SARDINAS returns to shake the valley. Also featured: LARISSA BAUMANN, the new star of Swiss soul; the Danish blues-rock of THORBJØRN RISAGER & THE BLACK TORNADO; and the Texan TY LE BLANC BAND. The 8th EUROPEAN BLUES NIGHT is also confirmed, with three European finalists: SACROMUD, EVE GALLAGHER BAND, and the French group CHARB-ON. Grand finale with the second MAGIC ROCK NIGHTS: guitars turned all the way up, as Texan blues-metal prodigy ERIC STECKEL and the hard rock power of Lausanne’s SIDEBURN unleash a storm on stage.
