One of the absolute highlights of Magic Blues 2025 was, without a doubt, the long-awaited return of the legendary The Yardbirds to Ticino, an incredible 61 years after their last appearance. Led by founding member and drummer Jim McCarty, the band delivered a breathtaking journey through rock history. A truly unforgettable concert, one we’ll still be talking about ten years from now. Or even longer.

Due to an unfortunate coincidence of dates, and for reasons beyond our control, the highly anticipated concert by THE YARDBIRDS, originally scheduled to take place in Maggia on August 7, will be brought forward to Thursday, July 24, and will be held in Cevio. Two creepy Main-acts!!! On the Maggia stage on August 7, more than 15 years after their last passage, the legendary DR. FEELGOOD return to set the Magic Blues on fire!

Gabriele Zeller "branded" the 23rd edition of Magic Blues.

Recently, the official poster for Vallemaggia Magic Blues 2025, designed by Gabriele Zeller, was unveiled! Music is not the only artistic element that has developed within the festival: since 2004, each year an artist has been entrusted with the task of “designing” the festival by creating a poster that becomes a collectible art object. These posters, numbered and signed, are sold in limited editions, turning them into true works of art.

This small but big open-air festival, "The smallest Big Blues Festival in Switzerland" now in its 23rd year, welcomes national and international performers of blues and blues-rock music to the stages of the most beautiful and picturesque squares in the Maggia Valley.
